Nvidia to drop GTX 280/260 prices

According to Fudzilla, Nvidia is all set to cut the prices of 280/260. As of tomorrow Geforce GTX 280 should sell for $90 less, while the 260 will sell for $60 less, but this is Nvidia's price to partners so I am not quiet sure how much it will effect the e-tail price. The retail price should drop but probably a bit less than $90.

The Geforce GTX 260 will be $30 cheaper to partners and Nvidia will only offer limited price protection, which means that some partners / distributors and stores might end up with some overpriced cards at their warehouses.

So, as of tomorrow the high-end Geforce cards should be cheaper-but only a bit.
